Custom type

There are a lot of reasons for people to consider custom type, ranging from the financial (your organisation may be very large, or you work across many platforms, and licensing becomes complicated) to the creative (you want your visual identity to be yours only). Tiny Type has been involved in a lot of custom type projects over the past decade, ranging from banks to farmers’ markets and from festivals to national brands. Typically, if you have a feeling you might want to go custom, you already know it: so get in touch.

Design consulting

Robin has been designing type for others for about a decade, and loves to get involved in projects to figure out what makes them tick, what makes them struggle, and what can be done to make them into great typefaces.

Production assistance

Sometimes you have your design locked in, but you need help wrapping up the character set, or you want someone else to do the kerning for you, or you’re unsure of broader language support and nerdy typesetting needs.

Mastering

Every Tiny Type release has been an exercise in getting better at mastering, and a decade of work has made Robin proficient at producing quality final files, well-structured type families and consistent performance across platforms.
